Predictive AND operational maintenance for short-term rental hosts. Forecast appliance failures before they ruin a stay, diagnose any issue in 60 seconds, pre-stock the right parts on your handyman's truck, benchmark every contractor quote, and let guests report issues directly. Your maintenance team will demand it. Your CFO will justify it. This guide walks you from one-click Hospitable connection through your first owner statement.
Unlike most integrations, there is no API key to request, no token to generate, and no IT ticket to file. You need exactly two things:
You connect by signing into Hospitable through their standard authorization screen and approving ForVue. If you can log in to Hospitable and you manage the properties you want to bring into ForVue, you have everything you need.
Whoever clicks "Connect with Hospitable" must be able to authorize a connected application on that Hospitable account. For most hosts that's just you. For larger teams, it's whoever administers the Hospitable account.
Every new ForVue account starts with a 7-day free trial. You enter a card at signup (Stripe) so the trial converts seamlessly — but you are not charged until day 8. Cancel any time during the trial from Stripe and you owe nothing.
One ForVue account per portfolio. Inside that account, every daily user gets their own login (no shared passwords). The account owner can invite users in Settings → Team, and each team member can be scoped to a subset of properties instead of the full portfolio — useful for regional co-hosts, cleaner networks with different service zones, or a maintenance vendor who only needs visibility into the properties they cover.
Every ForVue account gets a referral code (in Settings → Referrals). Every qualified referral unlocks a coupon tier: 20% off for 60 days (1 referral), 50% off for 60 days (2 referrals), 50% off for 12 months (3 referrals). Rewards apply automatically once a referred account crosses its 30-day mark on a paid subscription. No clawback if a referred user later churns.
There are two ways in, depending on whether you already have a ForVue account.
From the ForVue listing in the Hospitable Apps Marketplace, or from platform.investwisecap.com/hospitable, click Connect with Hospitable.
You'll land on Hospitable's own authorization screen. Sign in and review the read permissions ForVue is requesting (listed in Section 6). Click Authorize.
ForVue reads your email and property count from Hospitable to pre-fill a short welcome screen. Set a password, confirm the $2.50/unit/month pricing and 7-day trial, and save your card via Stripe. No charge until day 8.
ForVue immediately begins importing your portfolio. You'll see a sync screen; most accounts are ready in 30–60 seconds, after which your dashboard loads automatically.
The gear icon (⚙️) is in the top-right of the ForVue chrome. Settings → Integrations lists every platform ForVue can connect to. Click Hospitable, then Connect, and approve ForVue on Hospitable's authorization screen. Your sync starts immediately.
ForVue connects through Hospitable's official Vendor API and keeps your data current two ways:
On the first connection, ForVue pulls your full history: properties, units, reservations (past, current, and upcoming), reviews, guest messages, Hospitable issue flags, and calendar notes.
ForVue is a predictive AND operational maintenance layer — it reads your guest communications and reservation history to surface issues early, and then makes the actual fix faster and cheaper. Six pillars ship today; each one applies to STR portfolios.
For each appliance ForVue tracks (HVAC, water heater, refrigerator, washer, mini-split, and more), it runs a proprietary multi-factor Weibull-Bayesian survival model to estimate when that unit is most likely to fail — factoring in age, usage intensity derived from your occupancy data, service-event history, and maintenance signals from guest messages. The dashboard surfaces these as risk bands (0.00–0.99) so you can replace proactively rather than mid-guest-stay. The specific factors, weights, and cascade rules are trade secrets of Wise Capital, LLC (DTSA-protected; USPTO 64/032,704).
On every appliance page, pick a symptom, enter an error code from the unit's display, or upload a photo / audio recording of the noise. Get the most likely failed component, ranked against the unit's actual risk score, with OEM part number, supplier links, repair difficulty, warranty status, manufacturer service bulletins, $0 fixes to try first, and a brand-specific repair video. Photo recognition and audio description use AI; the underlying scoring and symptom-to-component routing are deterministic against our manufacturer knowledge base. Your handyman or local turnover crew diagnoses in 60 seconds instead of 30 minutes.
Across your portfolio, ForVue identifies the components most likely to fail in the next 90 days and tells your maintenance handler what parts to keep on the truck. For STRs this is huge — the difference between fixing a "no cold air" issue same-day (because the capacitor was on the truck) and refunding two nights because parts had to ship.
Every external quote you enter is benchmarked against the median cost we've seen for that part on similar appliances across your portfolio's service history. A $400 condenser fan motor quoted at $1,200 gets flagged before you approve it. Real money for an STR operator who gets a service quote on every turnover problem.
Need an HVAC contractor in your guest property's zip right now? 4★+ filtered results from Google Places, with each vendor's state license verified against the appropriate licensing board. Add your own private vendor list, too. No more "who can come Tuesday?" panic on a Friday-arrival, $400-a-night booking.
Three paths land here:
All read-only. You approve these on Hospitable's authorization screen.
| Scope | What it lets ForVue read |
|---|---|
property:read | Your properties and their details |
listing:read | Your listings across connected channels |
reservation:read | Reservations — past, current, and upcoming — and their statuses |
reservation:financials | Reservation revenue, used for owner-statement allocation and revenue-impact ranking |
message:read | Guest message content, scanned for maintenance signals |
reviews:read | Public ratings and private feedback, scanned for maintenance signals |
calendar:read | Calendar and occupancy, used to derive appliance usage intensity |
You can revoke ForVue's access at any time from your Hospitable account → Apps page. Revocation is immediate — ForVue stops pulling within seconds. You can also disconnect from the ForVue side in Settings → Integrations → Hospitable.
Once service events are flowing, ForVue can roll them up into reports.
In Reports, the Owner Statement generator lets you pick a month and produce a printable statement of that month's maintenance costs, grouped by property and unit, with per-unit subtotals and full line-item detail (date, event type, appliance, technician, invoice number, costs). Open it and use your browser's Print → Save as PDF to share it with an owner or bookkeeper.
New. One page per property, grouped by property, listing every CRITICAL and WARNING component with recommended next-service dates and projected failure windows. Rendered in-browser and printed / saved-as-PDF using your browser's print dialog. Use this for weekly maintenance stand-ups, monthly ownership updates, and quarterly board packets.
New. Full lifecycle sheet for one appliance: component list, service history, projected next failures, recommended actions. Triggered from any appliance detail card. Also rendered in-browser (print / save-as-PDF from the browser dialog). Use this to hand a maintenance vendor a self-contained work order for one asset, or to attach an appliance-specific history to an insurance claim.
The Reports section also includes Portfolio Risk, Maintenance Cost History, Cost Savings, and Projected Failures — each with a CSV export for your own analysis.
Revoke access from your Hospitable account → Apps page, or disconnect in ForVue under Settings → Integrations → Hospitable. Either stops data pulls immediately.
Settings → Account → Manage Billing opens the Stripe customer portal. Update your card, download invoices, or change your billing email there.
